Sibylle-Maria PFAFFENBICHLER

has been exhibiting for the past years  mainly Dancers and Musicians of the Jazz and Rock n' Roll era in Solo or Group Shows - with some sprinkles of Mozart -  in New York City, the Hamptons of Long Island, Vienna-Austria, and Philadelphia.

 Just to mention a few places - the Philadelphia Sketch Club / the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, LI / mel art factory, Vienna/ San Martino, Italy/ Bread and Roses Cultural Projects/1199, NYC and many more traditional and unconventional venues.

 

Recently PFAFFENBICHLER has started to show her new installations - Scrolls and "Body Boulder" which consist of hundreds, soon to be thousands, of feet of  live drawings of a  model who is continuously moving to music. The historic Plastic Club of Philadelphia installed the first 150 feet.

 

PAFFENBICHLER  started out with drawing workshops at the Art Students League in New York City, received a BFA summa cum laude  from the Fashion Institute of Technology/State University of New York, and took advanced art studies at the Long Island University.

 

She came to the US as a teenager from Austria. After Charleston/ SC, New York City and the East End of Long Island she now lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
For the past 6 years she has been volunteering one day a week at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
